Data for Indicator 15.3.1 depicts the distribution of land types in San Diego County and highlights the proportion of developed to undeveloped land.
The pie chart below shows the proportion of land throughout the county across eight categories: scrub and chaparral (57%), disturbed or developed areas (18%), riparian and bottomland habitat (7%), woodland (6%), grasslands and other herb communities (6%), forest (3%), dune community (2%), and bog and marsh (<1%).
The map below shows the acreage of each land category in San Diego County, including the proportion of disturbed or developed over total land area.
