SDG Indicator 3.4.1

Indicator 3.4.1 - Mortality Rate Attributed to cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes or chronic respiratory disease
Data for Indicator 3.4.1 depicts the mortality rate per 100,000 people attributed to cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes or chronic respiratory disease in the San Diego region in 2021. This data is aggregated by the following categories: overall cancer, overall heart disease, diabetes, leukemia, COPD/chronic lower respiratory diseases, and asthma. As such, it may be missing some of the UN's official references to what diseases are encapsulated by this indicator.
The maps below illustrate noncommunicable death rate by municipality and ED (emergency department) discharge rate by municipality. By default, it is set to overall cancer but this can be adjusted to other diseases by selecting the condition in the filter bar.

Data regarding noncommunicable disease mortality is compiled by the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.
