Data for SDG Indicator 16.1.3 comes from the SANDAG's ARJIS report "42 Years of Crime in the San Diego Region: 1980 Through 2021" Appendix Table 8 published in April 2022. We summed the number of homicides, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assault by year for the San Diego region. The rate is reported as the rate of violent crimes per 100,000 persons.
